WTF is IRONCOW

INDY CREW.
I'm Not Dead Yet Crew.

Four letters. One comeback. A story that started in a high-school locker in Timmins, Ontario.

INDY CREW means something different to everyone who wears it. Maybe it's the underdog who keeps showing up. The creative who never sold out. The rider who still drops in at 40 (or 50 ;-). Whatever it means to you, it starts with the same story — a brand that refused to stay buried.

Where It Started: Timmins, 1990

Before there was a brand, there was a locker. A high-school locker in Timmins, a small city in Northern Ontario, where we were selling imported tees pulled straight from the pages of BMX and skateboard magazines. No storefront. No website. Just hustle, a combination lock, and a customer base of kids who wanted something different.

It wasn't long before we started making things ourselves. We designed a tube hat that caught fire in the Grunge Rock and Rave scenes — the Riot Sok. Word spread the way things spread before the internet: person to person, show to show, scene to scene.

The Brand Takes Shape: 1993–1998

By 1993, the hustle had grown into something real. We launched a merch line called IRON COW — which soon became IRONCOW — and started building out a full streetwear identity. Five years of grinding, designing, and connecting with the culture.

By 1998, we hit the streetwear world hard. A rag-tag design team with something to prove. A 10-rider trick team that could back it up. A nationwide retail presence across 60+ shops coast to coast. We weren't a corporation. We were a crew. And for a minute, we were everywhere.

Then life happened. The brand went quiet. Not dead — just temporarily defunked.

The 25-Year Hiatus

From 1999 to 2024, IRONCOW sat in the vault. No rebrands, no half-hearted comebacks, no licensing deals. Just silence. The kind of silence that builds pressure.

Twenty-five years is a long time to sit on something. Long enough to know whether it still means anything. Turns out — it does.

The Return

IRONCOW came back because the world still needs independent brands with a real story. Not manufactured edge. Not algorithm-optimized aesthetics. Just honest gear, built right, from people who actually give a shit.

We're Canadian. We're independent. We make streetwear for people who don't need a logo to tell them who they are — but appreciate one that gets it.

At the heart of each creation is our motto 'Function - Fashion - Flava' It's not rocket science or a gimmick, just dope clothes.

What INDY CREW Means

I'm Not Dead Yet Crew isn't just a name — it's a mindset. It's for everyone who's been counted out and kept going anyway. The brand that came back. The rider who never stopped. The creative who kept making things even when nobody was watching.

From a locker in Timmins to wherever you are right now — if that story resonates, you're already part of the crew.

Welcome back. Or welcome for the first time. Either way — glad you're here.
